  • March 13th – Lunch & Learn at The Whitehall House, 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Join us at The Whitehall House for Vietnam, Then and Now. Last year, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Tet Offensive, members of the Veterans Breakfast Club, including seven Vietnam veterans, embarked on a two-week guided tour of Vietnam, highlighting the battle zones of the war, while also exploring Vietnam’s history and natural beauty.   • April 5th - Yoga For A Cause, 6:30 p.m. at The Whitehall House. Join us at our Pop-Up Yoga event with instructor Helen Hughes-Smith of Hot Dog Yoga. Class will be designed to accommodate all levels.  Class is free but donations will be accepted for the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh to benefit victims and family of the Tree of Life tragedy. We set another record! … 2,250 boxes! WOW!!

(The boxes were shipped Monday to troops in the Middle East.)

 

Thank you for all your help in making this project a success!

Whether you made a financial donation or donated items, or were there Friday setting up or Saturday for the “boxing” day …  GBU THANKS YOU!!

 

This year we were honored to have representatives from Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey’s offices in Pittsburgh AND Washington D.C.!

 

We even got TV coverage from KDKA-TV. Check out this link.

Special thanks to the Brentwood High School Students that helped us set up on Friday and the Baldwin Girls’ Basketball team that packed with us on Saturday! You guys and gals were incredible (as you have been each year)!

This year we had LOTS of young and old(er) GBU District 4000 members volunteer from Charity Ruhl’s “Falcon Gymnastics” in Monessen, PA. WOW!! What a nice ….. and helpful group!

And as in MANY years of the past, GBU members came all the way from District 361 in Barberton, Ohio to support the troops! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!

 

We had well OVER 150 GBU Employees, Members and Friends volunteer!
