SEPTEMBER– Love Your Library Month!  All library donations in September will be matched by a generous grant from the Jack Buncher Foundation. Make your gift to our libraries go even further!

  • September 6th – Chamber General Meeting, noon, at South Hills Country Club. Speaker: The Superintendents of Brentwood and Baldwin Whitehall School Districts
  • September 14th - Women’s Networking Luncheon, noon, at South Hills Country Club. Speaker: Julia Kramer, Certified Financial Behavioral Specialist™
  • September 16th – The Whitehall House – Open House, 1:00 – 5:00PM, Join us to celebrate the new Chapel and Event Venue. RSVP 412-881-9022 or



  • October 4th – Chamber General Meeting, noon, at South Hills Country Club.
  • October 4th – 8th – Whitehall Library Fall Book Sale - (October 7 & 8 Bag Day $5.00/bag, we provide bags) Cash, Checks and Credit Cards accepted - Restocked Daily - Questions?  Call 412-882-6622
  • October 6th - Baldwin Library’s FIRST Cornhole Tournament. (rain date - Sunday, October 7) Check-In: 10:30am, Practice Throws: 10:30am-11:00am. Tourney begins promptly at 11:00am at Elm Leaf Park. Cost: $50 per team (includes tournament and lunch) ***This event is for amateurs - those that like to play at parties, family events, etc. Please, no ringers/professional players. For more details, and Registration is only available online.
  • October 12th - Women’s Networking Luncheon, noon, at South Hills Country Club. Speaker: Theresa Rocco, retired Pittsburgh Assistant Police Chief, Author.
  • October 13th – “See What’s Brewing in Brentwood” event. 6:00 – 10:00PM, Brownsville Road between Giant Eagle Drive and Towne Square Way. Craft Brew Nite will feature food trucks, games and DJ. Axe throwing and mechanical bull will add excitement to the evening!
  • October 22nd – Whitehall Library host Multicultural Pot Luck Dinner. 6:30 PM at Baldwin High School. Let’s celebrate our welcoming communities by connecting through great food and conversation. Please bring a covered dish representing your culture (or something you simply enjoy) for a community potluck.  We’ll provide beverages, paper products and utensils, as well as lots of fun family activities.  Register online at one of your local public libraries:  -  Whitehall Public Library | 412-882-6622. - Baldwin Borough Public Library | 412-885-2255. This program is proudly sponsored by our community libraries and school district, and is partially underwritten from a grant from the Jefferson Regional Foundation.
  • October 27th – Annual Chamber Chili Cook-Off, Brentwood Civic Center, Brentwood Park. 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM. All Chamber Member are invited to participate. Registration Fee: $25. For more information go to



  • November 3rd – GBU’s “Operation Reach Out” packing day. 9AM, GBU Building at Rt. 51 and Brownsville Road.  GBU members and volunteers will pack and ship boxes for our service members overseas., click on “Operation Reach Out under the flying American flag.
